Malleable vs Ductile Iron

Malleable iron typically has some internal flaws stemming from irregularly-shaped carbon particles. This makes cracking a possibility. Ductile iron has spherical carbon particles that allow for more bending.

Class 150 threaded fittings connect with medium-pressure (300-999 psi) pipe. Our black pipe fittings twist onto pipe using various male and female thread connections including NPT (National Pipe Thread) or BSPT (British Standard Pipe Taper).
